I served as the Team Lead for The Student Space Programs Laboratory team competing in Phase 2 of NASA’s Centennial Challenge, focused on sustainable lunar waste management. My team designed a modular recycling system capable of processing plastic and metals into usable feedstock for in-situ manufacturing. I directed the project from initial concept to physical prototype, bridging the gap between Earth-based testing and spaceflight requirements. During this challenge I took a concept I developed over the summer and fabricated it into a functional prototype. My focus is on delivering a fully functional terrestrial unit that serves as a validated precursor for lunar operations in the final round.
