Uday Photo

Curious, Eager, and Determined Engineering Student. I am interested in developing my engineering skillset through hands on experience. Alongside my Major Aerospace Engineering I am pursuing a Minor in Engineering Leadership Development and a Certificate for Space Systems Engineering. My extracurricular involvement includes research through the Student Space Programs Laboratory. On a more personal level, I am a practicing christian. I swam on the swim team in Highschool, and enjoy lifting and swimming as physical challenges in my routine. In my free time I enjoy learning about natural sciences, religion, and space. All together, I am a curious guy who wants to learn and apply myself to everything that interests me.

Intern at Genesis AEC

  • Developed Autocad Skills, reviewing and updating markups for Senior Engineers designing process utilities schematics for pharmaceutical production facilities.
  • Learned about the roles and responsibilities of engineers in large, client-focused organizations and the foundational aspects of project management and ownership.
  • Participated in staff meetings to get an understanding of how work-teams collaborate and manage critical projects.

Sub Team Lead of Reserach

  • Lead a team Researching for NASA’s LunaRecycle challenge. Wrote a significant portion of the proposal to NASA while accumulating a wealth of knowledge on Penn State’s SMELT system. Created a MATLAB model for the heat transfer within system. Currently innovating the CAD model and detailing potential future development within the system.
Aug 2023 - December 2024

Member

  • Created internal payload with Arduino. Developed schematic in KiCad, utilizing several sensors and a TEENSY 4.1 micro controller. Assembled and tested system on site. Completed mission plan of detecting pollutants in atmosphere and gathering telemetry data. Learned Systems Engineering principles and attended meetings learning fundaments in STK and Astronautics.
